Jute Resource-Cum-Production Centre
About Jute Resource-Cum-Production Centre
This scheme backs the setting up of Jute Resource-Cum-Production Centres (JRCPCs) in local clusters nationwide through eligible agencies. These centres deliver basic, advanced, and design training to artisans, women self-help groups, cooperative members, NGOs, and other beneficiaries for manufacturing jute diversified products. The scheme positions jute as a natural, biodegradable, eco-friendly alternative to plastic, while building backward and forward linkages for raw material supply, production, sales, and marketing. At least 50% of trained beneficiaries are expected to move into employment or self-employment in jute product manufacturing.
