About IT Saksham Yuva Scheme

The Citizen Resources Information Department, Government of Haryana launched the “IT Saksham Yuva Scheme” to open up jobs for graduate/post-graduate youths from engineering and IT backgrounds. Participants take the Haryana IT Program, a set of specially designed short-term courses lasting at least 3 months, offered by Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON), Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL), Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), or any other agency the Government notifies from time to time. Trained and eligible youths are then placed in Departments/ Boards/ Corporations/Registered Societies/ Agencies and similar bodies of the Haryana Government, or in private entities. In its first phase, the scheme aims to create jobs for 5,000 youths across the State by training them in specially designed IT courses, including:

1. Secure coding using Java, DotNet, PHP and similar languages 1. Database administration (DBA) in SQL, Postgre SQL and others 1. Web design and UI/ UX design 1. Networking, covering network support and LAN/ WAN 1. Microsoft/ Linux server administration 1. Developing web and mobile applications 1. Handling social media and Digital Marketing 1. Further courses in Emerging Technologies may be included as required.

The scheme is meant to make Haryana’s youth career-ready for the digital world of work and equip them with the skills needed to step confidently into 21st Century workplaces across digital domains. The Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID) will help these trained IT Saksham Yuva find jobs, and an eligible applicant will be employed for up to 2 years. Placement in the Indenting Government / private entities follows the order of merit & role preference, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Objectives:

• The scheme seeks to establish Haryana as a leading IT powerhouse by using its human capital, encouraging innovation, building an ecosystem suited to technology-led growth, and reinforcing e-governance in the State.
• It intends to create jobs for eligible Haryana youths by putting them through an IT program that upgrades their skills. This should help young people build skills and gain the experience needed to move into better jobs or self-employment in the IT sector.
