About ICAR Senior Research Fellowship For Post-Graduate Studies In Agricultural Sciences

ICAR awards a set number of Senior Research Fellowships for Ph.D. study at an Agricultural University (AU) across various agriculture and allied-science disciplines, to encourage talented students into higher agricultural education.

To tackle emerging challenges in agricultural research and education, ICAR runs specific time-bound schemes/projects. These typically involve time-bound/non-regular/contractual staffing, contingencies, and limited need-based travel allowance (TA), plus other project-specific provisions. Superseding all earlier guidelines, the following rules now govern engagement, pay, and terms and conditions for Senior Research Fellows and Research Associates working on ICAR schemes.
