To encourage Scheduled Caste people to maintain clean and orderly homes, the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Government of Puducherry, started the “Grant of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Award for Clean Houses”. Every beneficiary selected receives household articles worth ₹500/- as an incentive.
