How to Apply

Online Application

Applicants can apply for Gharaunda-Group Home for Adults Scheme through the online application process outlined below.

📋

Application Process

Registered Organisations (ROs) Enrolment (first approval) Process: STEP 1. The NGO, registered with the National Trust, logs in to the National Trust website. STEP 2. The application form is available online on the National Trust website and must be submitted online only; enrolment in the Gharaunda scheme carries an application fee of INR 1,000/-. STEP 3. Once the National Trust receives the form and documents, it verifies them; if anything is missing or incorrect, the RO gets 15 days to resubmit. Note: Documents relating to physical verification of the RO and proposed Gharaunda centre can be submitted either at enrolment on the National Trust website or after the online form is submitted. If the RO misses this, it gets 15 days from the National Trust's notification to submit them. STEP 4. A final decision on the application/proposal follows completion of all formalities; applications meeting the scheme's criteria are approved, and the RO is informed of any discrepancies. STEP 5. The National Trust communicates with the RO within 15 days of receiving the application; if a document is missing, it communicates within 10 days. STEP 6. If the hardcopy of the form and documents doesn't arrive within 15 days of online submission, the National Trust follows up with the RO within the prescribed deadline. STEP 7. Once enrolment is complete, a scheme ID is created for the RO and confirmed to it. STEP 8. The National Trust hands the RO a starter kit/Gharaunda handbook with complete scheme details. STEP 9. The National Trust begins disbursing setup-cost funds to the RO. Existing Gharaunda centres must follow the same enrolment procedure under the new scheme, including submitting documents and proposals; they stop receiving benefits under the old scheme and start receiving funds under the new one. Enrolment of PwD at the Gharaunda Centre: STEP 1. The PwD arrives at, or is brought to, the Centre. STEP 2. The Gharaunda Centre runs an Individual PwD Assessment Test with a Therapist or Counsellor to understand the PwD's specific needs. STEP 3. If the PwD is orphaned, abandoned, or from a family in crisis, the RO approaches the competent district official authorized by the State Government to certify this — no additional documents are needed, and the PwD is automatically placed in the BPL category and enrolled for Niramaya along with Gharaunda registration. STEP 3. In all other cases, the National Trust checks whether the PwD qualifies for LIG or BPL funding, generally relying on the RO's information but reserving the right to verify it independently. STEP 5. Parents/guardians complete the Enrolment Form (with the application fee, if any) and submit originals and photocopies of the required documents, kept in a separate file for each PwD. STEP 6. Once documents are verified, the PwD is enrolled at the Gharaunda centre, and the parents/guardians receive a confirmation Enrolment ID card or receipt along with a starter kit; Gharaunda representatives share further details on the start date and rules. STEP 7. Gharaunda representatives explain the Niramaya health insurance scheme to the beneficiary's parents/guardians if not already availed, and the Centre mandatorily registers the beneficiary under Niramaya with the parents'/guardian's certified agreement.

Ensure all required documents are ready before starting the application process.
