About Financial Assistance to Para/Tetra/Hemi Plegic Ex-Servicemen
The Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Haryana, implements the “Financial Assistance to Para/Tetra/Hemi Plegic Ex-Serviceman” scheme, granting ₹3,000/- a month to Paraplegic, Tetraplegic and Hemiplegic Ex-Servicemen who are bonafide residents of Haryana State and receive no financial assistance from any Haryana Government department. This assistance is paid on top of any disability pension from the Government of India, Ministry of Defence.

Applicants must not receive financial assistance of any kind from a Haryana Government department. Note 1: Eligible paraplegia, tetraplegia or hemiplegia ex-servicemen get this assistance in addition to any disability pension from Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence. Note 2: Beneficiaries sanctioned before the guidelines were issued will continue at enhanced rates without reapplying, but payment will stop at once for anyone who does not furnish yearly survival verification proof from the revenue authorities. Note 3: Assistance will likewise stop immediately for beneficiaries who fail to give yearly survival verification proof from the revenue authorities in April. Note 4: Each applicant must submit a certificate from the District Social Welfare Officer concerned confirming that no financial assistance/ Pension is received from the Social Justice & Empowerment Department of Haryana. Note 5: Any beneficiary found, after sanction, drawing financial assistance from another Department of Haryana Government will be permanently barred from all schemes.
Benefits Provided
Financial Assistance to Para/Tetra/Hemi Plegic Ex-Servicemen provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:

1. Para/Tetra/Hemi Plegic Ex-Servicemen receive ₹3,000/- a month, increased by ₹400/- every November with effect from 01.11.2017.
Note:
Provided the claim is in order, assistance to the Paraplegic, Tetraplegic or Hemiplegic Ex-Serviceman is sanctioned from the first day of the month after the competent sanctioning authority approves the case.

Further documents as required Note 1: The original Discharge book from the ex-serviceman's Record Office must be submitted for scrutiny and is returned through the respective Zila Sainik Board once the claim is examined. Note 2: Each claim must be supported by an affidavit in the prescribed form, attested by a First Class Magistrate, giving all necessary information. Note 3: Each applicant must furnish a Medical Certificate from a Medical authority that clearly names the disease and states the percentage of disability as required.
