About Financial Assistance to Disabled Ex-Servicemen
Under the “Financial Assistance to Disabled Ex-Servicemen” scheme of the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Haryana, a monthly grant of ₹3,000/- is paid to Disabled Ex-Servicemen of any age who are bonafide residents of Haryana State, were discharged from the Armed Forces on medical grounds, and have a disability that is not attributable to service.

Applicants must not be drawing any financial assistance or pension from any source. Note 1: Ex-Servicemen are defined, for eligibility, as notified by the Ministry of Defence Government of India from time to time. Note 2: Each applicant must furnish a certificate from the District Social Welfare Officer concerned stating that no financial assistance Pension is being received from the District Social Welfare Department of Haryana. Note 3: If, at any time after sanction, a beneficiary is found receiving old age pension, financial assistance or maintenance allowance from another Department of Haryana Govt., they will be permanently barred from this department's scheme. Note 4: Previously sanctioned eligible beneficiaries will continue at enhanced rates and need not reapply, but payment will stop at once for those in civil employment. Note 5: Assistance will stop immediately for beneficiaries who do not submit their yearly survival verification proof from the revenue authorities in April, and the Secretary, Zila Sainik Board will be personally answerable for any lapse.

Financial Assistance to Disabled Ex-Servicemen provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:

1. Disabled ex-servicemen get ₹3,000/- per month, enhanced by ₹400/- every November with effect from 01.11.2017.
Note:
Payment begins on the first day of the month following sanction by the competent sanctioning authority of Rajya Sainik Board, and no arrears are paid for any period before the sanction date.

Note 2: The original Discharge book from the ex-serviceman's Record Office must be attached for scrutiny and will be returned through the respective Zila Sainik Board once the application is decided.

Exclusions / Who Is Not Eligible
