About Financial Assistance To Disabled Students Pursuing (10th, 11th, 12th Equivalent Exams)

The Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala, introduced the scheme “Financial Assistance to Disabled Students Pursuing (10th, 11th, 12th Equivalent Exams)”. It pays for differently abled school dropouts to take up the SSLC, +1 and +2 equivalent courses run by the State Literacy Mission. Disability can be present from birth or result from an accident or illness, and differently-abled persons meet many obstacles in daily life. Around 90% of disabled persons may never have completed even primary schooling. Problems such as difficulty reaching educational institutions and poor road facilities force many of them to abandon their studies.
