Establishment of Integrated Educational Complexes

Goa
Quick Summary: Goa's Integrated Educational Complexes scheme allots government-aided and government schools in congested parts of Panaji, Margao and Mapusa about 3000 to 6000 square meters of land on a 33-year lease in shared complexes, starting at Bambolim.

About Establishment of Integrated Educational Complexes

Goa’s Directorate of Education runs the “Establishment of Integrated Educational Complexes” scheme to tackle the poor infrastructure and cramped premises of government-aided educational institutions in urban centres of Goa such as Panaji, Margao and Mapusa. The complexes are planned as all-round education hubs with key amenities like playgrounds and auditoriums, creating a setting suited to learning.

Integrated Educational Complexes are proposed at Bambolim, Mapusa and Margao, beginning with Bambolim. The idea is a distinctive way of delivering better education, with shared facilities, to students from every background, since many urban schools are run from crowded localities or flats and lack room for facilities such as a playground or auditorium, depriving them of a proper school environment.
