Employee Health Scheme

Andhra Pradesh
Quick Summary: Andhra Pradesh's Employee Health Scheme, run by the Dr YSR Aarogyasri Health Care Trust, gives serving state government employees, pensioners and their dependants cashless treatment at network hospitals, replacing the old medical reimbursement system.

About Employee Health Scheme

Operating under the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Dr YSR Aarogyasri Health Care Trust runs the Employee Health Scheme (EHS), whose main goal is to give every State Government Employee access to good-quality healthcare. Government employees, pensioners and the family members who depend on them are covered and can obtain cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals or Network Hospitals (NWH).

Replacing the older system of medical reimbursement, the EHS brings in new provisions such as medical care after hospitalisation and treatment for chronic illnesses. Both serving and retired employees of the Andhra Pradesh state government fall within its scope. The scheme aims to deliver comprehensive health services and safeguard beneficiaries’ wellbeing through high-standard medical care.
