Development Of Playfield Under CMSGUY
About Development Of Playfield Under CMSGUY
“Development of Playfield” is a component of the Govt. of Assam’s umbrella scheme “Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojna (CMSGUY)”, which Hon’ble Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched in Guwahati on 5th February 2017. CMSGUY is being carried out across Assam in mega-mission mode, following a saturation model that reaches every revenue village with targeted interventions in direct economic activity, logistic support including market linkages, and community support.
The “Development of Playfield” scheme is an infrastructure scheme of the Assam Youth Development Mission Society (AYDMS), set up under the Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojna (CMSGUY). To promote Games and Sports in the State, AYDMS resolved to develop playfields through the Sports & Youth Welfare Department, Govt. of Assam, and in the first phase during 2017-18 it chose to develop 500 Football Playfields. Each site is proposed to have a football ground plus facilities such as Volleyball Courts, a dressing room, a store-cum-office and toilets, along with a boundary wall to protect the ground.
