How to Apply
Online Application
Applicants can apply for Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grah Aawas (Home-Stay) Vikas Yojana through the online application process outlined below.
Application Process
Applications are made online at https://msy.uk.gov.in/ under Deendayal Upadhyay Griha Awas (Homestay) Vikas Yojana, and registering needs an Aadhaar card plus an Aadhaar-linked mobile number. With the application, upload the date of birth certificate, educational qualification certificate (optional), permanent residence certificate, land/building papers, layout plan (anganan), the Pradhan's written certificate on non-availability of land in the municipality, the NOC for buying a fire extinguisher/fire department approval, the map approved by the authorised department/institution, and an SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen certificate where applicable. Submitted applications go to the District Tourism Development Officer (DTDO) of the district, who arranges a committee meeting chaired by the District Magistrate and invites the applicant for an interview. If the committee is satisfied, the proposal is forwarded online to the bank chosen by the applicant for the loan, and the bank begins its approval process. After approval, the bank informs the Tourism Officer and releases the loan into the applicant's account. When construction or renovation is finished, the applicant must inform the Tourism Officer in writing that the project is complete, and the new homestay must be registered. The District Tourism Development Officer and the bank branch manager then inspect it jointly. Once completion is confirmed and the inspection report is filed, the homestay can start receiving guests and the department transfers the sanctioned subsidy straight into the loan-linked bank account.
