About Construction of Water Storage Tanks for Drip Irrigation
Gujarat’s Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department introduced the scheme “Construction of Water Storage Tanks for Drip Irrigation” to help farmers pay for the cemented water tanks that efficient drip irrigation depends on. By saving water, it supports sustainable farming, particularly in horticulture.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Construction of Water Storage Tanks for Drip Irrigation, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
Applicants must be farmers

They must live in Gujarat

They must intend to build a cemented water…
They must intend to build a cemented water storage tank holding at least 25.50 cubic meters. Note: A mature cemented water tank and a drip set are compulsory.
Benefits Provided
Construction of Water Storage Tanks for Drip Irrigation provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Unit cost of construction:
Each tank is costed at ₹1,00,000/-.
For General category farmers:
A subsidy of 50% is given, subject to a maximum of ₹50,000/-.
For SC/ST farmers:
A subsidy of 75% is given, subject to a maximum of ₹75,000/-.
