Commemoration of Jubilees/Birth Anniversaries of Tiatr Artistes of Yesteryears
About Commemoration of Jubilees/Birth Anniversaries of Tiatr Artistes of Yesteryears
The Tiatr Academy, part of the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa, started the scheme “Commemoration of Jubilees/Birth Anniversaries of Tiatr Artistes of Yesteryears” so that today’s youth learn about the contribution and sacrifices of Tiatr artistes from earlier generations. It supports events marking the jubilee/birth anniversaries of Tiatr artistes who have passed away. Support covers wide publicity in print and electronic media, display and garlanding of portraits, cultural programmes (tiatr and songs), financial assistance, the use of auditoriums/halls, and extra money for programmes held in villages. Proposals must reach the Academy at least 30 days ahead and are handled on a “First come First Serve” basis, depending on the funds available.
