About Cash Grant in lieu of Sewing Machine
Funded from the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund of the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry, the “Cash Grant in lieu of Sewing Machine” welfare scheme gives ₹10,000/- to Widows of Ex-servicemen so they can buy a Sewing Machine. Only Widows of ESM who are registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry are covered, and applications are submitted offline.

Applicants must be the Widow of an Ex-serviceman.- Applicants must be registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry.- The scheme also extends to ESM / living spouse/widows re-employed on a regular / deemed-regular basis in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Private Organizations, and to self-employed IT assesses.
