About Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana
Launched by the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY) is an ambitious programme to make the farm sector self-reliant. Farmers receive financial help and support for a range of agricultural activities, with emphasis on scientific land terracing, doubling cropping, farm mechanization and apiculture, among others. They can take loans of up to Rs. 1.60 lakhs without collateral for these activities.
A state-level committee chaired by the Chief Minister supervises implementation. Several banks lend under the scheme, making it easy for farmers to access finance.
