Chief Minister’s Krishi Rinn Yojana

Arunachal Pradesh
Quick Summary: Arunachal Pradesh's Chief Minister's Krishi Rinn Yojana gives farmers a 4% state interest subvention plus 3% prompt-repayment relief on crop loans or KCC limits up to Rs. 3.00 lakhs, making short-term crop credit effectively interest-free.

About Chief Minister’s Krishi Rinn Yojana

Launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister’s Krishi Rinn Yojana (CMKRY) helps farmers by making crop loans available at zero interest. The state offers a 4% interest subvention on crop loans or Kisan Credit Card limits of up to Rs. 3.00 lakhs sanctioned by any bank in the current financial year. This comes on top of the subvention that the Government of India gives to banks and farmers under the policy circular of RBI/NABARD. Farmers who repay their short-term production credit (crop loan) on time, within one year of disbursement or withdrawal, also get interest relief of 3% per annum. Put simply, a farmer borrowing up to Rs. 3.00 lakhs who repays promptly enjoys credit at zero interest. NABARD serves as the channel partner for reimbursing the subvention amount to banks. The state government has also notified that a certificate from the Circle Officer stating the cultivated area and the crops grown will be accepted by banks as a valid document for issuing Kisan Credit Cards to farmers. Salient Features:

1. Farmers receive a 4% interest subvention on crop loans / KCC limits of up to Rs. 3 lakh. 1. Loans may be taken from any bank in the state during the current financial year. 1. Farmers who repay on schedule also get interest relief of 3% per annum on their crop loan. 1. No relief is given for growing perennial food crops or plantation crops. 1. Farmers are selected separately, district-wise and bank-wise.

Objective of this scheme:

1. To make crop loans available to the state’s farmers at a zero rate of interest.
