The Department of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Union Territory of Puducherry, introduced “Assistance to General Farmers for Installation of Submersible / Centrifugal Motor Pumpsets With Accessories”. Once selected, beneficiaries must file an affidavit signed before a Notary Public declaring that the land is in their possession, that they will not sell, mortgage or transfer it to anyone for 10 years, and that they will not use it for anything other than agriculture; if found violating these terms, they will face legal action by the Government for breaching the scheme's conditions, in addition to recovery/cancellation of the subsidy.
