About Assistance for Planting Vegetable Crops for Raw and Ripe Mandap
The Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, has introduced “Assistance for Planting Vegetable Crops for Raw and Ripe Mandap” to help farmers throughout Gujarat pay for building vegetable trellises (mandaps) made of wooden/bamboo supports and GI/plastic wires.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Assistance for Planting Vegetable Crops for Raw and Ripe Mandap, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

Benefits Provided
Assistance for Planting Vegetable Crops for Raw and Ripe Mandap provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Raw Mandap (Tomato/Chilli and other vegetables):
General Farmers
General Farmers: subsidy of 50%, capped at ₹26,000/ha.
SC/ST Farmers
SC/ST Farmers: subsidy of 75%, capped at ₹39,000/ha. Semi-ripe Mandap (Vine vegetables):
General Farmers
General Farmers: subsidy of 50%, capped at ₹40,000/ha.
SC/ST Farmers
SC/ST Farmers: subsidy of 75%, capped at ₹60,000/ha. Ripe Mandap (Vine vegetables):
General Farmers
General Farmers: subsidy of 50%, capped at ₹80,000/ha.
SC/ST Farmers
SC/ST Farmers: subsidy of 75%, capped at ₹1,20,000/ha. Other Support Details:
Area limit
Area limit: no more than 2 hectares for each farmer.
Materials
Materials: 1600 wooden/bamboo poles for every hectare, plus 400 kg of GI wire (12-18 gauge) or plastic wire.
Suggested spacing
Suggested spacing: 2.50 x 2.50 meters.
