About Artificial Limbs and Assistive Devices Supply Scheme
The Social Welfare Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh runs the “Artificial Limbs and Assistive Devices Supply Scheme” to improve the mobility of persons with disabilities and lessen the effects of their disabilities on daily life. Persons having a disability of 40% or more who satisfy the remaining conditions can receive artificial limbs/assistive devices valued at up to ₹6,900/-.

Persons with disabilities are supplied with a range of aids under the scheme, including tricycles, baishakhi, hearing aids, Braille kits, wheelchairs, tape recorders, calipers, white canes and various other artificial limbs.
Note 1:
No charge is levied for artificial limbs/assistive devices where the monthly income of the person with disability, or of their parent or guardian, is ₹5,000/- or below. Note 2: Where such monthly income lies between ₹5,001/- and ₹8,000/-, the artificial limbs/assistive devices are supplied once the beneficiary deposits 50% of the total cost. Note 3: Artificial limbs/assistive devices given under the scheme are capped at a maximum value of ₹6,900/-.
