Process for availing benefits under the scheme: The following steps will be followed to avail free treatment under the scheme:
Identification of Eligible Family: Families are identified by their Jan-Aadhaar card number/Jan-Aadhaar EID/policy document/Aadhaar card, so give these details to the health guide at the scheme counter when getting admitted to hospital, so that the family's eligibility can be confirmed.
Identification of Beneficiary: After the family is confirmed eligible, the patient's own eligibility is checked. Entering the Jan-Aadhaar card number or registration number into the software displays the family category and family member details, after which the patient is identified and verified biometrically. A live photo is captured on the web camera at admission and again at discharge.
The patient will only be eligible for benefits under the scheme if the selected category and family member details are displayed in the scheme software.
Treatment then starts according to the package available under the scheme.
Provisions for treatment of children up to one year of age: Children up to one year old can be treated under the scheme even if their name is missing from the eligible family's Jan-Aadhaar card details, by generating the child's TID in the name of any family member registered in the Jan-Aadhaar card.
A child above one year of age whose name is not in the Jan-Aadhaar card cannot be treated under the scheme. (The family should be told that the child's name can be added to the Jan-Aadhaar card by producing birth documents at any e-Mitra center.) Free treatment becomes available only after the name has been added to the Jan-Aadhaar card.
Provisions regarding treatment for children under five years of age: For children below five years, biometric verification and a photo ID are not compulsory, and the child's TID can be generated through biometric verification of another member listed on the family identity card.

Ensure all required documents are ready before starting the application process.
