Mukhya Mantri Mahila Sashaktikaran Yojana
About Mukhya Mantri Mahila Sashaktikaran Yojana
In September 2013, the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh launched the “Mukhya Mantri Mahila Sashaktikaran Yojana”. It gives permanent training to women who have suffered any form of violence and live in difficult circumstances, lifting them economically and socially so that they can find employment. When a woman who has faced any form of violence lacks family support, every route to a livelihood is shut, and in such hard conditions special help is needed to restore her place in family and society. Connecting these victimised women with skill development training that builds self-reliance allows them to support themselves and their families. The scheme was launched in the state with this aim. Objective:
- Helping women caught in Emergency Situations.
- Resettling women who are sufferers/victims.
- Encouraging women to take up self-employment.
- Making women independent.
- Raising the Social, Economic, and educational standing of women.
- Making distressed/victimized/helpless/destitute women self-reliant and bringing them back into the mainstream of society.
