Maintenance Allowance To Backward Class Students Under Training In Sainik Schools
About Maintenance Allowance To Backward Class Students Under Training In Sainik Schools
Under the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra, the “Maintenance Allowance to Backward Class Students Under Training in Sainik School” is a scholarship scheme. VJNT and SBC students receive a maintenance allowance so that as many of them as possible can get into Sainik School and later seek admission to the N.D.A. In 2003-04, the State Government started the scheme to generate self-employment for unemployed youths and students of VJNT and SBC who seek Vocational Training. Such a candidate is trained at a Government I.T.I and attends short-duration vocational training courses, which help the youths set up their own employment in the service sector.
