About LIDCOM 50% Subsidy Scheme

The Leather Industries Development Corporation (LIDCOM), Govt. of Maharashtra, runs the “50% Subsidy Scheme” especially for the (Scheduled Caste) Charmakar Community. Under it, a subsidy of 50% is given on a loan of at most ₹50,000/-, with the subsidy itself capped at ₹10,000/-. Banks charge interest at their existing rates. Only permanent residents of Maharashtra may apply, and the Govt. of Maharashtra funds the scheme entirely. LIDCOM’s chief aim is to run schemes that improve the lives of Charmakars (Dhor, Chambhar, Holar, Mochi, etc.) who are economically weak and below the poverty line, developing them educationally, economically, and socially so that they gain a respectable place in society.
