Globalization and liberalization have changed the way agricultural markets compete, and the “Kishan Kalpvriksh Yojana (Scheme for Assistance to APMCs to Provide Basic and Modern Facilities) (Tribal)” of the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to make these markets more competitive. It gives Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) financial support for infrastructure development, modernization, and better facilities. The scheme also seeks to build conditions that favour direct purchase, contract farming, and private market participation, so that farmers and other stakeholders gain. Objectives of the Scheme:

- Develop modern agricultural markets that are competitive and efficient.
