About Jyoti Gramodyog Vikas Yojana
Started on 7th September 2015 by the Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries, Industries & Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, the “Jyoti Gramodyog Vikas Yojana” supports rural entrepreneurship. It gives financial assistance in the form of a margin money subsidy for setting up new village industries in areas that have 24×3-phase electricity supply. Individual artisans, entrepreneurs, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with projects costing ₹1,00,000/- to ₹25,00,000/- are covered, and production-oriented ventures can get a 25–30% margin money subsidy, the higher rate going to SC/ST/women/PH candidates. Applications go offline through District Industries Centres (DICs), and the subsidy is released once the project has run successfully for 2 years.
