About Jharkhand Sports Excellence Cash Award Scheme to Coaches
Under the Jharkhand Sports Policy, 2022, the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand, started the “Jharkhand Sports Excellence Cash Award Scheme to Coaches”. It rewards coaches with cash when the athletes and teams they train excel at national and international competitions.
Objective:
- Rewarding coaches in cash so that they stay motivated to keep contributing to the growth of sports.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Jharkhand Sports Excellence Cash Award Scheme to Coaches, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
Coaches whose athletes/teams win medals in competitions recognised…
Coaches whose athletes/teams win medals in competitions recognised by the International or Indian Olympic Association can apply.
At least four years of coaching athletes/teams that…
At least four years of coaching athletes/teams that represent Jharkhand or India is required.
A coach qualifies only if the medal-winning athletes…
A coach qualifies only if the medal-winning athletes took part in recognised competitions.
Benefits Provided
Jharkhand Sports Excellence Cash Award Scheme to Coaches provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Cash Awards for Medal:

1. Summer/Winter Olympic Games: a gold medal earns the coach ₹25,00,000/-, silver ₹15,00,000/- and bronze ₹10,00,000/-.

2. Paralympic Games: coaches receive ₹20,00,000/- for gold, ₹15,00,000/- for silver and ₹10,00,000/- for bronze.

3. World Cup/World Championship Senior: the award is ₹15,00,000/- (gold), ₹10,00,000/- (silver) and ₹7,00,000/- (bronze).
World Cup/World Championship Junior
World Cup/World Championship Junior: gold brings ₹10,00,000/-, silver ₹7,00,000/- and bronze ₹5,00,000/-.
World Cup/World Championship Sub-junior
World Cup/World Championship Sub-junior: ₹5,00,000/- is paid for gold, ₹3,00,000/- for silver and ₹2,00,000/- for bronze.

4. Youth Olympic Games: gold is rewarded with ₹7,00,000/-, silver with ₹5,00,000/- and bronze with ₹3,00,000/-.

5. Commonwealth Games: coaches get ₹10,00,000/-, ₹7,00,000/- and ₹5,00,000/- for gold, silver and bronze respectively.

6. Asian Games: a gold fetches ₹10,00,000/-, a silver ₹7,00,000/- and a bronze ₹5,00,000/-.

7. Asian Championships: the amounts are ₹3,00,000/- for gold, ₹2,00,000/- for silver and ₹1,00,000/- for bronze.

8. SAF Game/Intercontinental Championship: gold earns ₹1,00,000/-, silver ₹75,000/- and bronze ₹50,000/-.

9. National Games: ₹1,00,000/- goes to the coach for gold, ₹75,000/- for silver and ₹50,000/- for bronze.

10. National Championships/ National School Sports / Khelo India, National University Sports: gold carries ₹75,000/-, silver ₹60,000/- and bronze ₹50,000/-.

Application Process
Step-1: Download the form for coaches from the official website.
Step-2: Complete each mandatory field of the form and attach copies of all required documents, self-attesting them where necessary.
Step-3: Hand the signed, completed form and documents to the District Sports Officer.
Step-4: Ask the receiving authority for a receipt or acknowledgment, and check that it records the date and time of submission and a unique identification number (if applicable).
