About Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS): Environment Protection Infrastructure Subsidy
“Environment Protection Infrastructure Subsidy” is a sub scheme of the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)” brought out by the Dept. of Industries, U.T. Administration Of Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu. It was launched on 3rd July, 2015 for five years and, with a further extension from 20th May, 2022, it will be operative till 19th May, 2027. > Objective of the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)”:
The scheme’s incentives and assistance are directed at the MSME Sector, to nurture units, guard them from market vagaries and make them vibrant and successful, thereby building the U.T. into a Special Hub for the MSME sector. The scheme also aims to maximize Women participation in business, reduce unemployment among local residents and incentivize industries to employ resident laborers etc. > Objective of the “Environment Protection Infrastructure Subsidy” Sub-scheme:
This assistance motivates enterprises to build facilities for treating effluent and hazardous waste and for recycling wastewater, and it also backs manufacturing units working on alternatives to single-use plastic items. In doing so, it advances environmental sustainability and helps units comply with regulatory standards.
