About Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS) for Thrust Sectors: Scheme For Medical Equipment And Accessories, Medical Diagnostics And Ayush Products Manufacturing Units
The Dept. of Industries, U.T. Administration Of Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu launched the “Scheme For Medical Equipment And Accessories, Medical Diagnostics And Ayush Products Manufacturing Units” on 3rd July, 2015 as a sub scheme of the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)” for Thrust Sector. Meant originally for five years, it was extended further from 20th May, 2022 and now runs till 19th May, 2027. > Objective of the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)”:
The scheme’s purpose is a further fillip for specialised Thrust Sectors such as Plastic Furniture, Steel Furniture, Brass Furniture, Metal Furniture, Cane Furniture, Wooden Furniture, Bamboo Furniture, Fibre Glass Furniture and Marble Furniture etc, which would make the U.T. a Special Hub for the furniture sector. It also strives to maximize Women participation in business, lower unemployment among local residents and incentivize industries to hire resident laborers etc. > Objective of the “Scheme For Medical Equipment And Accessories, Medical Diagnostics And Ayush Products Manufacturing Units” Sub-scheme:
Medical Equipment and Accessories, Medical Diagnostics and AYUSH Products Manufacturing Units are offered both Capital Investment Subsidy and Credit Linked Interest Subsidy under this sub-scheme.

Benefits Provided
Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS) for Thrust Sectors: Scheme For Medical Equipment And Accessories, Medical Diagnostics And Ayush Products Manufacturing Units provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Capital Investment Subsidy:
Units are reimbursed 20% of the Gross Fixed Capital Investment made, subject to a maximum of ₹50,00,000/- per unit.
Credit Linked Interest Subsidy:
A 60% per annum interest subsidy applies, capped at ₹50,00,000/- lakhs per annum, for Five years OR for the loan repayment period, whichever is earlier.
