The following documents are mandatory at the time of applying: Applicant's mobile number, Aadhaar card, passport-size photo, Caste Certificate, proof of domicile/permanent residence in Uttarakhand, CBS Bank Account Details (Aadhaar linked/seeded), valid Income Certificate or BPL Certificate, Ration Card, copy of Family Register (for rural areas only), date of birth proof for bride and groom (High School certificate/Birth certificate/Family register/Aadhaar card), Marriage registration certificate, and an Affidavit that the family has received the benefit only once before or never.
Applications must be lodged between 1st March and 28th February of the year in which the marriage is held. The Assistant Social Welfare Officer scrutinises each online application; based on that inquiry report/recommendation, the District Social Welfare Officer grants approval as per the rules and the amount is sent to the beneficiary's account. The Social Welfare Department itself checks whether the widow draws a Social Welfare pension, and no caste certificate is needed to claim benefits under this scheme.

Ensure all required documents are ready before starting the application process.
