Goat Rearing Scheme
About Goat Rearing Scheme
Through the “Goat Rearing Scheme”, the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat, seeks to raise the earnings and living standards of tribal women. Operating under the State’s Scheduled Tribe Sub-Scheme, it helps tribal women set up goat units (10 goats + 1 male goat), with the money for buying the units credited by DBT straight into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. The Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG) implements the scheme.
