About Formation of Mahila Mangal and Yuvak Mangal Dal
Introduced by the Department of Youth Welfare and prantiy rakshak dal (PRD), Government of Uttarakhand, the “Formation of Mahila Mangal and Yuvak Mangal Dal” scheme brings together willing women and men aged 18 years or above from Gram Panchayats throughout the state into groups. As groups, they can tap into the various schemes of the Youth Welfare and PRD Department and jointly run businesses or livelihood activities.

Application Process
Formation of Mahila Mangal and Yuvak Mangal Dals – In every Gram Panchayat, the Youth Welfare & PRD Department sets up one Mahila Mangal Dal and one Yuvak Mangal Dal.
To join either the Mahila Mangal Dal or the Yuvak Mangal Dal, a person needs a proposal to that effect approved by the Gram Sabha and forwarded to the relevant Regional Youth Welfare and PRD Officer.
