About Endeavour To Empower-Skill Development
Mission Youth’s mandate is to make young people more employable in emerging job markets by running focused, market-driven skilling programmes. The scheme sponsors skill development training aligned with market demand for the youth of J&K, in order to enable
1. Greater Employability & Marketability of Youth in high potential / emerging Job Markets. 1. The creation of Independent Livelihood avenues for young people across different economic sectors. 1. A pool of skilled young people who can drive the positive economic transformation of J&K. 1. Promotion of the idea of “Be Vocal for Local”.
Mode of Training Through this programme, Mission Youth plans to work with all relevant Government Departments/Agencies to make the Government’s skilling efforts more coordinated and effective. Private market players will also be encouraged to join hands with Mission Youth to support the Government’s work on youth empowerment and employability. Skill development training will follow a collaborative, all-inclusive model that brings in market players from both the Public and Private sectors.
Training Partners The following kinds of organisations/institutions can partner with Mission Youth, J&K and obtain financial support under the initiative:
1. Every Government sector organisation/Institute engaged in skill development training, such as the J&K Skill Development Mission, J&K EDI, KVIB, and other similar organisations/Institutes. 1. Private Sector organisations/Institutes engaged in skill development training; 1. Trusts, Companies, Partnership Firms, or Societies registered under the Societies Registration Act, of 1860 that conduct skill development training. 1. Any other organisation/agency properly registered under the relevant statutes.

Students/Candidates enrolled under the scheme must attend every mandatory training session laid down for their course. If a candidate drops out midway, the full cost spent on that candidate will be recovered jointly from the institute/candidate concerned.
40% of the sanctioned slots are reserved for…
40% of the sanctioned slots are reserved for female candidates. If not enough eligible women apply, the leftover slots will go to male candidates.
