About Educational Allowances to the Children of Widows
The Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Pondicherry, started “Educational Allowances to the Children of Widows” in 2010 to help poor widows meet the education costs of their children up to higher secondary or its equivalent. Depending on the class the student is in, an annual sum between ₹25 and ₹125 is paid.
