“Castor cake/Neem cake/ Liquid Fermented Organic Manure / Green manure seed (For mix in the soil)” is a component of the scheme “Distribution of Seeds of more productive varieties / Hybrid varieties Seeds and fertilizer at subsidies etc. to Adivasi farmers in Tribal Area (TASP)”, introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat. Its goal is to help Adivasi farmers in Tribal Areas (TASP) and tribal cultivators beyond them grow bigger harvests. The scheme subsidises inputs like high-yield variety seeds, hybrid seeds and fertilizers, and also gives farmers plant protection equipment, tarpaulins, field demonstrations, micronutrients, water carrying pipelines and pump sets so they can raise yields and livelihoods. Benefits go to Scheduled Tribe farmers and to tribal cultivators who live outside tribal areas.

Benefits Provided
Distribution of Seeds of more productions varieties/ Hybrids varieties Seeds and fertilizer at subsidies etc. to Adivasi farmers in Tribal Area: Castor cake/Neem cake/ Liquid Fermented Organic Manure / Green manure seed (For mix in the soil) Gujarat provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
SCHEDULE-IV and V under FCO 1985:-
Castor cake/Neem cake/ Liquid Fermented Organic Manure:
Subsidy equal to 75% of the purchase price or ₹9,000/- per hectare, whichever is smaller, for up to two hectares per account. OR
Green manuring (hemp/Ikkad seeds):
Subsidy equal to 75% of the purchase price or ₹3,000/- per hectare, whichever is smaller. For hemp (60 kg) or Ikkad (50 kg) seed per hectare, a total of ₹6,000/- per person, whichever is less, is given, for up to three hectares per account. Frequency of Disbursement: Support for Castor cake/Neem cake/Liquid Fermented Organic Manure/Green manure seed is available annually. Remark: Subject to conditions No. 5, 16, 17, 19 and 22 of Appendix-1. (Refer Scheme No. 35)
