About Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swawlamban Yojana
The Department of Finance, Planning & Investment, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, runs the “Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana” to foster entrepreneurship among jobless youth by backing viable, bankable self-employment projects. Eligible beneficiaries receive loan support and a capital subsidy to set up commercially sound enterprises. The Department implements the scheme through District Level Screening Committees (DLSCs), working together with banks. The Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park (APIIP) acts as an institutional facilitation and incubation partner for DDUSY. Starting with the current implementation cycle, the State Government has reserved 50 (fifty) beneficiary slots under DDUSY for APIIP, which may identify and recommend 50 eligible startups chosen under the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Development Program (APEDP) for DDUSY support.
DDUSY continues to be the financial scheme delivering subsidy and loan benefits, while APIIP serves as an organised selection and incubation route, making sure those recommended under its quota are trained in entrepreneurship, ready with their projects, and focused on innovation and startup-driven ventures. The final financial assistance is still determined by DDUSY guidelines, the bank’s appraisal and fulfilment of the eligibility conditions.
