Computer Training Scheme

Uttar Pradesh
Quick Summary: Uttar Pradesh's Backward Classes Welfare Department offers free 'O' Level and 'CCC' computer training to unemployed youth who have passed Class 12. Parental income must be Rs. 1,00,000/- or less, and trainees are chosen on their Intermediate marks.

About Computer Training Scheme

Uttar Pradesh has introduced computer courses under which applicants are given authorised computer training. The scheme lets the state government reach eligible candidates and make them computer literate, which strengthens education and widens the opportunities open to them.

Guidelines/conditions for trainee Trainees are chosen on the basis of their Intermediate examination percentage against each district’s target, and other eligible applicants are put on a waiting list. Institutes are allotted from among those selected in the district, according to the preferences given in the online options and each institute’s fixed target. Trainees must agree to the following conditions:-

1. Anyone applying under the Computer Training Scheme run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department must not be receiving any other government benefit such as a Scholarship/Fee reimbursement etc. 1. Students chosen for the Computer Training Scheme (‘O’ Level and ‘CCC’) are registered and trained free by the institution, which is paid the training fees by the Backward Classes Welfare Department under the prevailing norms. Students pay the institute nothing for registration or training. However, the fee for any examination held by NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology) must be paid online by the trainee to ‘NIELIT’. 1. A trainee who quits before finishing the course without good reason must repay the registration fee to the government and will be barred from the scheme in future. 1. Trainees must have 75% biometric attendance during the course. Anyone absent for 15 or more days without valid reason or notice will be replaced by a waiting-list candidate and will lose any further claim. 1. The ‘O’ Level/’CCC’ computer training offered by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare can be availed only one time per trainee. 1. After clearing ‘CCC’, a trainee may take the ‘O’ level course in the following financial year, but once the scheme’s benefit has been used, the trainee cannot be chosen again for ‘O’ Level/’CCC’.
