About Balika Samrithi Yojana
Introduced by the Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Pondicherry, the “Balika Samrithi Yojana” seeks to raise the status of girl children and ensure they get nutritious food. Lactating mothers are given ₹500 in the form of a National Savings Certificate. The scheme covers girl children born on or after 15-8-97.
