Families in the poorest income bracket usually keep patients at home because they cannot pay the fees of reputed hospitals. Such patients become bedridden, placing a heavy social load on relatives who must stay home to look after them. Better-off households can hire paid caregivers or home nurses, but lower-income families generally shoulder the care themselves. These relatives effectively serve as informal caregivers, with neither proper recognition nor any financial return.
Coverage Of Diseases ● Every bed-ridden patient requiring a full-time caregiver. ● Persons who are mentally challenged (Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental retardation, Mental illness). ● Persons who are 100 % blind, bed-ridden cancer patients, and bed-ridden elderly people. ● Persons with brittle bone disease.
