Run by the Directorate of Horticulture under the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, the “Assistance for Tools, Equipment, Shorting/Grading Equipment, PHM Equipment for General Category (HRT-2)” scheme offers monetary support to General Category farmers, and also to farmer groups and cooperative societies, so they can buy a range of tools, equipment, sorting/grading units and Post-Harvest Management (PHM) equipment. Eligible items cover plastic crates along with accessories such as weighing scales, packing materials and sorting/grading machinery, among others.

Support is open both to individual farmers and to farmer groups/Cooperative Societies. Note 01: For price discovery purposes, every tool or piece of equipment must be bought through an authorised dealer of a manufacturer empanelled by the Department of Agriculture, as notified by it periodically. Note 02: Tarpaulin sheets must come from companies empanelled by the Department of Agriculture, and their regulations must be followed as per the prescribed norms. Note 03: Plastic crates must be sourced from companies empanelled by the Department of Agriculture, with their regulations applied in line with the norms.
