About Assistance for Installation of Sprinkler / Drip Micro Irrigation Systems
The Department of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Union Territory of Puducherry, launched “Assistance for Installation of Sprinkler / Drip Micro Irrigation Systems”. It subsidises Marginal Farmers, Small farmers, Scheduled Caste/ Schedule Tribe Farmers, Women Farmers, Big Farmers and Institutions for installing Sprinkler / Drip Micro Irrigation Systems, based on the total cost (or) ₹ 25,000/‐ per hectare, whichever is lower.

Marginal Farmers, Small Farmers, Scheduled Caste/ Schedule Tribe and Women Farmers get a subsidy of 90% of the total cost (or) ₹ 25,000/‐ per hectare, whichever is lower.
Big Farmers/ Institutions get a subsidy of 70%…
Big Farmers/ Institutions get a subsidy of 70% of the total cost (or) ₹ 25,000/‐ per hectare, whichever is lower. Selected beneficiaries are informed individually; where the farmer completes the work with his own money, the subsidy is credited to the farmer's bank account through the Electronic clearing system. Where the farmer engages manufacturers/ dealers, the subsidy is paid straight into the manufacturers/dealers' bank account once the farmer issues a satisfactory completion letter.
