About Aamar Dukan On Wheels
Details Modelled on the existing ‘Aamar Dukan’, the Government plans to launch a fresh module of “Aamar Dukan” called “AAMAR DUKAN ON WHEELS”. Under this module, 22 Non-PDS items (a number that may rise to 36) will be brought right to consumers’ doors at prices below MRP, keeping only a minimal profit margin. The scheme relies on environment-friendly E-rickshaws for transport. It also aims to encourage cashless payments, since each E-Rickshaw will carry a GPS-enabled smart phone linked to a Bluetooth billing printer. Objective At its core, the Aamar Dukan on Wheels Scheme seeks to keep prices of essential commodities in check by cutting out middlemen. Consumers will receive their everyday essentials at home at fair prices, and the scheme will also help ease unemployment.
