Top Class Education For Students With Disabilities
About Top Class Education For Students With Disabilities
A DEPwD scholarship scheme for Students with Disabilities (SwDs) pursuing full-time courses beyond Class 12 at a ‘notified institution’. Students with the disabilities specified under the Schedule of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 — including visual, hearing, speech, locomotor, intellectual, and other disabilities — qualify under the scheme. Since SwDs often face physical, financial, psychological and mental barriers that keep them from developing their latent skills and living with dignity, this scheme supports them in studying further, so they can build livelihoods and find a respected place in society.
