Quick Summary: NCESS's internship scheme lets school and college students in the earth sciences get direct research exposure through campus-based training and forums, though it comes without any stipend, only a completion certificate at the end.

About National Centre for Earth Science Studies Internship Scheme

Run by the Earth System Science Organization under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the “National Centre for Earth Science Studies Internship” gives school and college students a chance to get acquainted with, and even carry out research in, various branches of earth science. The National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) itself is an R&D institution recognised for doctoral programmes spanning science, environmental studies, and interdisciplinary areas, with Ph.D. registration opportunities announced through universities. The centre also hosts distinguished scientists for exchange programmes and opens its Earth Science Forum to all campus college students who wish to present their research projects.
