Craftsmen Training Scheme
About Craftsmen Training Scheme
The Directorate General of Training, under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, runs the “Craftsmen Training Scheme” to keep domestic industry supplied with skilled workers across various trades. It works to lift industrial output both in quantity and quality through structured training, cut unemployment among educated youth by giving them job-ready skills, and build a technical, industrial mindset in younger generations. The scheme delivers systematic vocational training through a nationwide network of Industrial Training Institutes and National Skill Training Institutes, running skill-development programmes across trades and holding All India Trade Tests for certification.
