Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) Internship Scheme

Quick Summary: The CVC Internship Scheme places Indian graduate, postgraduate, and research students - especially from Law, IT, MBA, or Social Sciences - as short-term interns at the Central Vigilance Commission, helping with research and analysis. Interns get a ₹10,000 monthly stipend, workspace support, and a completion certificate over a one-to-two-month term.

About Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) Internship Scheme

Since 2016, the Central Vigilance Commission has run an Internship Scheme open to Indian nationals who are graduates (awaiting their final-year results), postgraduates, or research scholars enrolled at reputed Indian or foreign institutions – ideally in Law, IT, MBA, Social Sciences, or related fields. Once brought on as “Interns,” they get attached to the Commission and help its internal analysis work through empirical data collection and collation, both in-house and from outside sources. In turn, interns gain first-hand exposure to how the Commission operates, which can feed into their career plans in other sectors or international organizations.

Objectives

1. Bringing promising young academic talent into the Commission’s work for mutual gain. 1. Interns stand to gain from seeing how the Commission functions and understanding vigilance issues, while contributing policy inputs – empirical analysis, briefing reports, policy papers, and the like. 1. The Commission, in turn, gains fresh talent and output that feeds its policy-formulation efforts.

Duration

Internships run for at least one month, extendable up to two months.

Number of Interns

At least three interns must be accommodated at the Commission between May and August.

Declaration of Secrecy

Before starting, every intern must submit a Declaration of Secrecy.
