Central Sector Scheme for Rehabilitation of Bonded Labourer
About Central Sector Scheme for Rehabilitation of Bonded Labourer
In force since January 27, 2022, the Central Sector Scheme for Rehabilitation of Bonded Labourer-2021 is a key Ministry of Labour & Employment initiative aimed at wiping out bonded labour across India. It sets different rehabilitation amounts depending on the beneficiary’s category – adults, children, women, or extreme cases – with options for annuity deposits and Direct Benefit Transfer. Alongside this, the scheme supports surveys, awareness drives, and evaluation studies to fight bonded labour, backed by financial support. Its focus spans skill development, socio-economic assistance, and monitoring, all working toward eliminating bonded labour in the country.
