About Northeast BPO Promotion Scheme

Launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the “Northeast BPO Promotion Scheme (NEBPS)” creates jobs for youth and draws investment into the IT/ITeS sector by getting BPO/ITeS operations set up in North-Eastern India. Eligible companies establishing such operations get financial backing through Viability Gap Funding (VGF), with Software Technology Parks of India implementing the scheme under the Digital India Programme. The target is 5,000 BPO/ITeS seats across the North-Eastern states, strengthening infrastructure, building skilled manpower, and encouraging balanced regional growth in IT/ITeS.
