Madhya Pradesh Lok Vaniki Yojana

Madhya Pradesh
Quick Summary: The Madhya Pradesh Lok Vaniki Yojana lets landowners, Gram Panchayats and Gram Sabhas manage tree-covered private and revenue land scientifically. They do this under a Technical Management Plan approved by the Forest Department.

About Madhya Pradesh Lok Vaniki Yojana

Under the “Madhya Pradesh Lok Vaniki Yojana”, started by the Forest Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, tree covered areas on private and revenue land can be managed scientifically. Management is taken up only when the landowner, Gram Panchayat, or Gram Sabha proposes it voluntarily. A central feature is the preparation of technical management plans (Prabandh Yojana), which need approval from the competent authority. To apply, a proposal has to be submitted to the Divisional Officer (Van Mandal Adhikari) or the Range Officer (Van Kshetra Adhikari).
