Krishak Bandhu Scheme
About Krishak Bandhu Scheme
Introduced in 2019 by the Department of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal, the “Krishak Bandhu Scheme” gives farmers financial help to keep farming sustainable and to reduce their risks. It pays ₹5,000/- per acre per year as direct income support, and ₹2,00,000/- as a death benefit to the family of a farmer who dies. Small and marginal farmers who own up to 2 acres are covered, as are all farmer families in cases of death or disability. The Department of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal, runs the scheme and takes applications both online and offline.
